DmxFx Privacy Policy
Updated September 30, 2026
This policy describes how the DmxFx Android app handles information.
Local settings
DmxFx stores channel settings, preset names, modulation settings and receiver configuration in private app storage on your Android device. These remain until you clear the app’s storage or uninstall it. Android backup is disabled for the app.
Data handling
DmxFx does not include user accounts, advertising, analytics or remote crash-reporting services. The app does not send your saved presets or settings to the developer. It does not request camera, microphone, contacts or location access. The click sound is generated locally; no sound is recorded.
Lighting network
When you enable output, DmxFx sends lighting channel values to the Art-Net receiver you select. Packets include the tablet’s source IP address and the receiver’s destination address. Art-Net uses unencrypted UDP, so participants on the network may observe lighting traffic. DmxFx checks Ethernet connection state to select its output network. It does not automatically configure Android network settings.
Retention and deletion
You can stop lighting transmission with the output control. Clear DmxFx storage through Android settings or uninstall the app to delete its locally saved settings and presets. No developer-operated cloud copy is kept by this app.
